About LIV by Neher

Mindful products, lovingly designed – for an insect-free, warm home.

LIV means life.

And that’s exactly what we’re all about: mindful coexistence – with nature, with people and with your own home.

LIV is a young brand with strong roots: it was founded by Neher Insektenschutz, a family business that has been setting standards with environmentally friendly, high-quality fly screens for over 50 years. This experience gave rise to the idea of going one step further – and developing new products for everyday use that are just as practical, well thought-out, high-quality and designed with heart.

Feel good without compromise.

I am Paola, and I was allowed to develop this idea further and bring it to life. My desire was to create things that make our homes more beautiful – and at the same time make a contribution: to sustainability, to the appreciation of people and animals, and to a more conscious everyday life.

Our products are designed to help you feel completely comfortable at home – and at the same time create an insect-free home that makes no compromises in terms of aesthetics or environmental compatibility.

What is important to us:

fair cooperation, social responsibility and genuine sustainability. Our products are created in cooperation with workshops for people with disabilities, e.g. Lebenshilfe. And we have created 8000 square meters of meadow around our company headquarters in Baden-Württemberg – as a habitat for insects, wildflowers and diversity.

LIV is small, but real.

We believe that good design can be considerate. That beauty and responsibility belong together. And that it’s the little things that make the difference.

I’m glad you’re here.

Sustainability at Neher

For us, sustainability is an attitude that is embedded in all our processes and products.
For us, sustainability means acting responsibly towards people and nature.

Quality

The high quality of our products makes them durable, resource-saving and repairable.

Alternative energy sources

We have equipped the roof of our new logistics hall and our high-bay warehouse with a PV system. With an output of around 500 kWp and more than 1,200 modules, we can generate electricity sustainably – and are even self-sufficient in purely mathematical terms. However, as we do not always consume the electricity we generate at the same time, we continue to buy and sell it.
For years, we have been using the waste heat from a combined heat and power plant directly in front of our company to heat our buildings. The plant is operated with biogas from agricultural residues that are produced during the generation of green electricity. We use the resulting heat for heating in winter; in summer, wood chips are also dried.

Environmentally friendly packaging and partnerships

For LIV by Neher products in particular, we focus on packaging that is as environmentally friendly as possible: we avoid unnecessary plastic packaging and materials that cannot be recycled. Wherever possible, our suppliers come from the region. In this way, we keep transportation routes short.

Social responsibility

We have our LIV by Neher insect catcher manufactured by Lebenshilfe Landkreis Tuttlingen e.v.. Neher also supports social projects and associations with donations, for example Forikolo e.V., an association that is involved in the areas of education, agriculture and basic medical care in Sierra Leone, including by building and equipping schools. We also support the Glee Needy association with donations: Glee Needy builds schools and initiates social projects for orphans in Africa. Phönix e.V. is a non-profit association against sexual abuse of girls and boys. Neher is also financially involved in youth work at local sports clubs as well as medical and socially integrative initiatives and projects.

Insect protection

We are actively committed to protecting insects not only through our 8,000 square meter meadow, but also through our insect catcher. Every time we sell a device, we donate 40 cents to the Flowering Landscape Network. Because that’s exactly how much it costs to create one square meter of flowering meadow – a small paradise for insects.
